It seems that tour is finally over. I walked outside yesterday and just stared at my backyard I was so bored.

Marina left to fly back home to Albuquerque. Ramsey is driving up to Arcadia to visit his mom. And Jonathon left a few days ago back to Portland. So everyone went back to were they came from.

Tour ended kinda weirdly, half of us went home right after the last show. The rest of us took the bus back home the next morning. Except Chris stayed at Dean's to hang out for a while.

All in all I am positive that it was the most fun I have ever had in my entire life and I would do it again in a heartbeat.

P.S. I hope to embed photos into all of the entries, but I don't know how quick I will be about it.

We used the money from the van to pay for bus tickets home. We took the Vietnamese bus home. Apparently a bus runs from Irvine to San Jose Monday through Sunday. It's forty dollars and you get a sandwich, a water and a vietnamese newspaper.

The trip back was pretty uneventful. We got one stop and I got some taco bell. We held up the bus because we spent too much time inside the truck stop. The rest of the time I spent watching the Vietnamese version of American Idol that they were playing inside the bus.

Once we got to San Jose we walked a block to a Starbuck's and I called my grandparents to come get us. It was Sean, Nick, Jonathan, Marina and I. They old had a Saturn Vue to fit five of us in. I gave them directions on how to get to where we were but they managed to lost. Eventually they got here and we all cramed into the car.

We came to my house and everybody got to see my room. And my Nana was all excited about everything. Then we went and had a big happy to be home party at Sean's house. We had a sick BBQ with all my friends and lots of beer and it was tons of fun.

I guess it broke down twice on the way to the car graveyard. And we only got $200 for it, $100 less then the guy said we were going to get for it.

Ramsey had to run back to San Pedro and pick up his truck so that we could get the trailer to the show in Fontana. Most of us just hung out at Dean's house all day. He bought us pizza and we got Taco Bell later for lunch. Then Delora, Dean's great girlfriend let us take her car to the show that was very far form Irvine.

She had an ipod full of really good music and I was in shotgun so I got to DJ. After a couple of wrong turns we finally made it to the show.
Boyz 4 Men played a bunch of new songs. We got some beer for a good price. But the show was some random person's house and it was some girls birthday.

Religious Girls played next and it was a good if tired set. We all danced but it seemed like nobody else knew what to do. But after they played cops came and we had to shut down the show. I slept all the way back to Dean's. Then when I got back someone passed me a pipe full of pot and I smoked it and went to sleep. But not after I stayed up till 3 in the morning drinking Cisco with Dean and Delora.

The van finally broke down in thousand oaks. At least it stopped working in the parking lot of a mall. I cleaned it all out while Ramsey called AAA. The van was free to tow but the trailer cost $150 dollars to tow. We had the van towed to Irvine to Dean's house. The band and Jonathan were able to ride in the truck with the towsmen.

Ramsey called a bunch of friends, but ended up having his dad come all the was from San Pedro to get us. Then four of us cramed in the back and Ramsey forced his dad to let him drive. He drives like a crazy old grandma on crack. Or like any other girl from LA. But he got us to his house very quickly. We dropped his dad off, went in and changed and then we sped off to Irvine, supposedly an hour away. We got there in 45 minutes.

We ran around UC Irvine trying to find the show. Instead we found a giant Asian dance party in the quad. But we didn't have time to stop and party. We ran the other way and found them playing in a trailer and we ran in and started dancing. We only caught about 1/3 of the show but we raged the entire time. Also the trailer had no AC so it was about 110 degreez inside.

Finally we went back to Dean's house and got food and beer and had a good time with his roomates.

Rachel and company had to leave early to drive back to Santa Barbara because they had school. Alex followed us to Jiffy Lube so we could get our car worked on. Alex and I were starving so we ran into Subway and got some food. When we came out, Nick told us that Jiffy Lube wouldn't work on our car because we were smoking too much. So Nick decided that he would have to do the oil change himself.

As fun as it sounded to wait around three hours, I decided to go to Santa Barbara with Alex instead. Then the plan was to meet up with everyone in LA for the show. Alex and I pulled into SB and walked around State Street did some stuff. Alex got one of those Dia Bola's. Then we got a call from Sean saying that the show got canceled and the van was overheating so they were heading for Rachel's house in SB.

By this time Rachel was off school, so we decided to go get Habit Burger (my favorite and really reasonably priced) for lunch. At around four we met up with all the guys in front of a really big beach. Almost everyone in the van was on acid. The van was overheating and being crazy. Finally we got it started and took the long way to Rachel's house so as to avoid the freeway.

We rolled into Rachel's house and 10 out of 12 of us were on acid I think. I was really bored being sober, so I decided to smoke some pot out of a bong (something I haven't done since last summer) and I got really high, just like I knew I would. We all decided to go to the beach. Most of us walked but I drove Sean and Chris in Alex's car. We hung out at the beach for a while. Everybody on acid was stoked on the beach but I was pretty bored. Eventually I drove back to Rachel's house by myself and stopped off to get some tall cans. I drank half of one and went to sleep.

The next morning I woke up drank my other two tall cans quickly and got super drunk. I also watched grind which nobody else thought was funny, but I thought it was hilarious. Then we headed off for Irvine.

We pretty much just woke up in Denver and left. The drive to ABQ was like six and a half hours. On the way we encountered the biggest storm that we had been through on tour. Most of us got into seats and buckeled in. Lightning bolts were shooting off on either side of the road. Also we were in a hurry to make our show that we had booked last minute at some coffee shop. We totally missed it. But we went to frontier's a really good place to eat that we ate at a total of three times on this trip.

Then we Marina got dropped off at frontier's. We were all stocked to see her again. Also she brought a big bag of fancy food and some alcohol. But we had a 20 hour drive ahead of us so we decided that we needed to get really drunk so we stopped off at a grocery store and I got some wine and Dylan got ingredients for lizard dick.

As we pulled away Guy wasn't gonna stop for any bathroom breaks when we all got drunk. But sure enough we all got really drunk and had to pee but Guy was nice enough to stop (we said it was cuz Marina had to go). Then after that we drank some more and put on music and got real rowdy and had tons of fun before it was time for bed.
Kansas city sucked. Everybody there was really sketchy and on drugs. But we made some good money. But we decided it was best to just head straight for Denver. So after the show was over, we packed all our stuff up and headed to a stake n' shake. Then Nick and I got red Bulls and everyone else went to sleep. Nick was driving and I was co-pilot. But I was a terrible co-pilot. All I did was stay awake as long as I had red bull, smoke a cigarette and then fall asleep. Then I woke up at every gas station, stumbled in for more red bull smoked another cigarette while I waited for the gas to finish being pumped. But I did stay awake long enough to see some really awesome thunder storms.

We got to Denver at about 1 or 2 in the afternoon. Dylan and I got money from Wells Fargo. Then we all went and got pizza. DJ the guy we picked up in Michigan lived in Denver for 6 months and knew his way around town. Our van kept breaking down all over town which sucked. So it took about two hours to get back to Rhinceropolis.

Everybody in Denver were really pumped up about Religious Girls. During their set I noticed an attractive half asian girl dancing. I didn't really think to much about her cuz right after the set I went and worked the merch table which was hella busy that night. After it had calmed down a little bit, I sat down to drink a beer and chill out. The next band started playing and they sounded alright but I wasn't really paying attention and it was kinda far away. Then Dylan runs in and says i gotta go watch that band play and that they were fucking awesome.

I run into the next room and the music is really good. I push my way to the front and who should I see but the hot girl from earlier. Only now she was in a blue sequenced dress and was the lead singer and bass player of the band. She got like 200% more hotter and I got tons of boners.

Anyways after that we all stayed up late and made arts and crafts and and had dance parties and some of us made put with crusty punks. Some of us got beds and and they brought down a bunch of matts to sleep on. I feel asleep on a couch that was about three feet to short for me. All in all Denver kicked ass.

We pulled into Chicago and then we dropped off all of the band stuff at bitchpork where we were playing. After that Dylan, Sean, Nick and I went downtown to try and find a Wells Fargo for Dylan and I to get money. We used my iphone and it took us to Wells Fargo corporate headquarters not to far from the Sears tower. When Dylan and I wandered inside and asked the guy at the desk where the ATM is he looked at us like we were complete idiots. Apparently the only Wells Fargo ATM's were in Indiana.

After that we were driving through the Chicago loop and I spotted Lou Manalti's pizza. My family, boss and ex girlfriend all talked about how this place had the best deep dish pizza in all Chicago. We decided to stop and get some. Dylan was about to die of starvation when we walked in the door and the wait was like 40 minutes. But we made it and got some awesome pepperoni and mushroom deep dish pizza that was totally worth the wait,

When we got back to the warehouse it was still about four hours till Religious Girls went on. So Chris, Sean and I decided to set off all of my illegal New Mexican fireworks in the middle of the street. Then afterwards we drank a bunch of whiskey. I got really drunk and then Emma went and got us all a bunch of beer and I got more drunk.

I went upstairs and at least 200 people had shown up. Some crazy stand up comedian was on. After him some girls told a weird story with an overhead projector. By this time it was time for me to go to so I went and curled up in the backseat of the band and slept through the rest of the show.

In the morning we went and met up with Sean's older sister at a Starbuck's because she was in Chicago. It was really weird seeing her so far away from home. Then we left for a long day's drive through IOWA which sucked. Ramsey left his backpack in a Kum n'Go gas station in the middle of Iowa and we went back for it. So by the time we got to Kansas City all we did was load in and play.

We woke up at Kerry's house again after another wild night of partying. Then we drove about 20 minutes towards Lansing to Kerry's hometown Brighton Michigan.

In Brighton we took the van to get some new breaks. After we dropped the van off we walked a mile to Kerry's house. It was a very cool house sorta in the woods. I took a giant nap. Everyone else hung out in his cool backyard. Nick got bitten by a wasp. When I woke up pizza was at the house whch was awesome because we were all near starvation. After the pizza I took more nap and everyone continued hanging out.

When I woke up we were about ready to go. So I hopped in the van and we left. Lansing was about 45 minutes away so it wasn't too bad.

We played at a rented giant photography place. It was really nice. The crowd wasn't that big, but not bad for a small town that we didn't know anybody in. Also the guy that booked the show got everybody pizza. (Pizza is pretty much the staple of my diet on this trip)

After the show we stayed at a nice girls house that we met at the show. I stayed up way to late. I also had to get rid of a creepy asian guy who was trying to get with one of her roomates. But the girl was freaked out by him.

We left about 11 o'clock and headed for Chi town.

The drive from Buffalo to Ann Arbor was about seven hours. But we stopped at Steak N' Shake. Steak N' Shake is a Midwestern chain that uses only steak to make burgers from. My grandpa showed it to me like five years ago, and I haven't stopped thinking about it ever since. It was the one thing I really wanted to do on tour and it turned out that everyone else really enjoyed it too.

When we pulled into Ann Arbor we went to Kerry's house. Kerry is the drummer of Our Brother the Native, the band we are on tour with. We all got to take showers and do laundry. I haven't washed my clothes since Florida so that was kinda nice.

Then we went and got a bunch of beer and dollar by the slice pizza. I forgot to mention that the University of Michigan is in Ann Arbor so it's a really big college town, but in a good way. As we walked to get pizza we saw the street filled with stands like a closed street fair. A massive art fair happens here once every summer for four days.

The next day we woke up and went to check out the street fair. It's just like something from downtown Pleasanton, only on a much bigger scale. Like every other street is covered in tents selling stuff for mom's and grandma's. I got my nana a little nick-back that she will like. I also got some meat on a stick. But this fair has to have about 4 or 5 thousand people walking around. We came here at a really good time.

After the street fair we went swimming in the Huron river for a bit then we hung around Kerry's house until it was time to go to the show. It was at a teen center about five blocks away very close to the art fair. So it was super jam packed and hard to park the van, but Nick handeled it as per usual.

The turnout was pretty good at least thirty strong. Everybody really was into it and we sold a good amout of merch. which made up for the little money we got from the door. Then we went back to the house and whipped up an after party. Now we are headed for Lansing Michigan today. It's kinda sad that we won't we seeing Kerry, Josh or Emma anymore. But it was cool seeing where they are from. On my immediete to do though is see Harry Potter while we are getting the breaks fixed.

Posted via LiveJournal.app.

Actually this entry is kinda lame. I didn't watch any if the bands. I hung out at the house next door. Everybody was really stoked on Sean being Scottish. I think most of us just got drunk ad hung around.

Allston seemed like a very nice place. We went back to some guys house on the other side. At 9 in the morning Religious Girls had a photo shoot. They all played floor Tom's in a little children's park. It was Sunday night so the crowd wasn't very big. And only two bands played Religious Girls and a local band Kokomo.

Sean and I bought two beers each from the bar. She thought Sean was in the band and gave him half off. After she poured Sean's 2nd beer he paid and walked off. She turned to me and gave me a WTF look. The she proceded to berate me and Sean for not tipping her. I already didn't like Providence that much but she completly ruined it for me.

After the show we stayed at Kokomo's really cool loft. They had a huge space with a classic pinball machine that I was really into.

Eventually at around 4 o'clock everybody dragged themselves onto the subway. We decided to go to Central Park. The Subway system is very confusing but Nick after a couple of wrong stops was able to navigate us.

We hit the southern part of central park. Sean and I got hot dogs from a cart on the corner of a street that were really good. When we got to central park everybody was craving pizza. We asked a cop where the best pizza in New York was.

This cop was awesome. He was clearly born and bred in New York. He was stoked that we didn't care how far we away it was. He also really liked that we were from California. He told us Joe's was the best place.

So back on the subway we went. This trip was relativley easy only six stops down the line in "the village". Apparently this place was in Spiderman. The pizza place was busy. I got two slices of pepperoni that they gave away to someone else so I had to wait for a fresh pizza to be made while everybody else chowed down. THEN when the pizza was finished I had to just about fist fight a lady who tried to steal my slices.

The verdict on New York pizza: greasy, crispy, and tons of pepperoni.

After that we had to get back to Brooklyn to play the show. But we got super lost. The train that normally takes you from manhattan to Brooklyn wasn't in service that day. So we had to transer a bunch and caught two trains going the wrong way.

Once we finally did get back we still had to drive two miles to the show. Driving two miles in New York sucks. Needless to say we were very late when we got to the show. We seriosly pissed off some hotshot promoter in New York who books alot of shows.

After the show we went back to a friends house and passed out.

Posted via LiveJournal.app.

Yesterday we walked 4 miles from Brooklyn, Brooklyn to Williamsburg Brooklyn. It was a particularly beautiful day.

Williamsburg is obviously the cool place to be right now. Everybody there was good looking and well dressed. I got my first slice of New York pizza.

Then we went to McLaren park at the end of Williamsburg.
Here is a really funny article I read in time the day I got home from tour
Everybody there was dressed in plaid, wearing avaitors and looked like somebody I would actually like to talk to.

After that we took the subway back to the guy's house we stayed at the night before and picked up the van. We pretty much drove back where we came from. The venue was called Death by Audio and was three blocks off from Williamsburg.

It didn't really start filling up until the second band played. By the time religious girls came on the place had a good amount of people there. They played a great set and people there were really stoked on shirlords. But we sold a bunch of other merch too.

After the show we went back to the house we went to a party at last night. I think we got something like 24 coors tall cans. So cheap here only a dollar! Most of us stayed up really late. I saw the sunrise and made a fire outside with Sean. While this was going on there was an hour long jam sesh going on inside. Now it's one o'clock and I gotta wake these guys up to go do stuff.

Posted via LiveJournal.app.

I slept all night on the way to Jacksonville. Once we pulled into town we got the trailer fixed and the van fixed for once and all.

After that we jetted to the beach and took a dip in the ocean. We gayed out at the beach for like two hours. After that we got pizza and it started pouring rain. Florida would be unbareable if it didn't rain twice a day.

We went to the shantytown pub, a little bar in downtown Jacksonville. It was vey small and cramped but they gave away drink tickets and had a huge back patio.

The clientele of this pub were particularly interesting to me. Most of the people when we got there were crusty punk. Or not even that, they were like really disguisting vagabonds.

As the night continued the rednecks came out. Now a redneck in this part of Florida dress like a bro. They also say the same things bro's do, just in an extremly unnattaractive southern draw which makes them sound downright retarded.

But everyone at the show loved them and a nice young couple put us all up in there fancy fourplex and made us all breakfast the next morning.

Then we had a 6 hour drive to Atlanta. We pulled up to the venue and no one was there. They gave all of us drink tickets. Then they realized that half of us were roadies and took then away. The place was still deserted so we called a friend of a friend to come over.

She said that WE should come to the block party she was at. So we quickley threw everything in the van and drove across town. There was 200 people and 4 kegs and a slip n slide. 50 people watched Religious Girls play and they had them all eating out of the palm's if there hands.

Yesterday was a 9 hour drive from Atlanta to Greenville, NC but it wasn't to bad. The place we played was small, dingey and smelly. But free food and another keg and 50 redneck strangers setting off fireworks made it an alright time. I was a little homesick for the first time though because I wasn't throwing my annual 4th of July extravaganza.

Now I'm sitting in a Krispy Kreme watching all these familes that all know each other after they got out of church.
The last three days it seem's like all we have done is hang out in the van. The drive from Albequerque to Austin was something ridiculous like 16. It was hot and sticky and gross. And it was alot nicer becuase we did it at night. We got into Austin at 5 o'clock in the morning. Guy went straight to hang out with Steve Tran. Everyone else went to the airport to drop Malia off which was sad. Then we walked around downtown Austin at like seven in the morning. It was HOT.

Outside of a Houston club at 6 in the morning.

Apparently Jonathan has to stop at every fucking Whole Foods in every city because he is such a hipster. But this was the Whole Foods HQ so it was actually really cool. I was stoked because I have been fighting a cold since L.A. and could finally get some cough medecine. But it was stupid yuppie Whole Foods, so all they had was bullshit organic alcohol free yuppie cough medecine. It was 10 bucks for the smallest bottle of cough medecine I have ever seen.

We hung out for a few more hours and then we started on the relatively short journey to Houston. On the way into town it started pouring rain. We played at this cool hip bar called mangos. Everybody hung out on the pourch and drank kamikaes while it rained. It felt like I was in the deep south already.

We hung out in Houston for a good amout of the day and then we spent the night once again driving an ungodly distance from Houston to New Orleans. New Orleans was sick. It was super hot and smelled like shot everywhere. But besides that it was awesome. The whole place is like a giant amusement park. I got two po- boy's in two differen places. All day long we has to walk around in the sticky muggy weather. Late in the afternoon we met up with Ramsey and his babe friends.

Ramsey being GAY

They took us to get our secon po-boy of the day and it was finally time for me to get drunk which helps make the heat bareable I've found.

We all hung out with Ramsey and his friends took us to Bayous and lakes and got us snowcones. Three of the ladies took a liking to me Sean and guy. But once again we didn't have time to stay an we left for Florida.

We called triple A and we hung out in the desert for three hours until they towed us to the lovely little town of Socorro New Mexico.

We hung out for five more hours in the parking lot of an AutoZone while Nick worked in the van. He fired it up and coolent started coming out of the van. So we had to get the van towed back to ABQ.

Sean and Dylan slept in the van while Nick, Chris, Guy Jonathon and I went to Guy's friends place. The Jon, Guy and I got dragged to a party. Everybody there was crazy drunk and hitting on us but we didn't stick around for too long.

The next day we spent most of the morning sitting in front of pep boy's while the van was getting worked on. At lunch timeout friend Marina came and took us all sans guy in her nice big Honda Pilot out to lunch in downtown ABQ. Then we hung around downtown for the rest of the day until we found out that the van wasn't going to be fixed until today.

Kindly Marina took us to Whole Foods and Albertson's and we got beer and tons of food for BBQing. We went to her house and ate alot of good that Jonathon made and polished off the thirty pack between like 6 or seven of us (including Dylan Lol).

We decided to stay at her house instead of getting a motel. Right as we were setting up the tents in the backyard, Marina's 19 year old twin sisters came out and told us they were going to some party. By this point all of us were drunk and we invited ourselves along.

We were the center of attention at this party. All of us were being crazy because we didn't give a shot about these people. But they were just eating it up. Dylan and Sean and Jonathon got into the hot tub, Sean was wearing a bikini.

So that party was fun, we went back to Marina's house and it was raining so we all crashed inside instead of camping.

Albuquerque Sunrise
Then Marina drove us to pep boys and we GTFOed out of ABQ. All of us admitted to having a great time there and that it would not be a bad place to live at all.

Now we are driving through Texas an we should get into Austin at about two, entirlely missing the show.

Played first show last night at The Smell in downtown L.A. I had never been to The Smell which was massive. We pulled up around six o'clock and realized we were very early so we decided to head to Little Tokoyo. We saw a sign for Japanese tacos for two dollars and walked trying to find a better deal than that.
There was a decent amount of people we knew there. Greg Moreno and Ramsey ad Co. Alex, Rachel and Shona stopped by but were too cool to go in and had a long drive home so whateva.
Anyways off to San Diego pretty quickly after Nick wakes up I think. Looking forward to going for a swim in the Ocean. Were probably gonna crash at Evan Bratton's house in Ocean Beach tonight. Then it's back to L.A. again on Monday.

Posted via LiveJournal.app.
